County Councillor for Preston East. Businessman. Community champion. Fighting for real change in Lancashire.
I'm Luke Parker, the Reform UK County Councillor for Preston East, representing the communities of Brookfield, Ribbleton, and Garrison on Lancashire County Council. I was elected in May 2025 and I'm proud to serve until 2029.
Before entering politics, I built a successful business from the ground up — a growing company that employs local people and trades both nationally and internationally. Through that experience, I've learned how to manage budgets, create jobs, and deliver real results under pressure. I bring that same no-nonsense approach to my work on the council.
I got into politics because I was fed up with the same old broken promises and wasteful spending. People in Preston East deserve a councillor who actually listens, turns up, and fights their corner. That's what I aim to do every single day.
I serve on a number of key committees across Lancashire County Council, the Lancashire Combined County Authority, and the Lancashire Combined Fire Authority. This is where the real work gets done — scrutinising decisions, holding the administration to account, and making sure your voice is heard.
I'm not a career politician — I'm a businessman who got into politics to make a difference. I built a company from nothing into a growing enterprise that employs local people and trades nationally and internationally. I know what it takes to balance the books, make tough decisions, and deliver results because I've done it in the real world, not from behind a desk in County Hall.
That experience is exactly what local government needs. Too many decisions are made by people who've never run anything, never had to make payroll, and never had to answer to customers. I bring a practical, results-driven mindset to every committee I sit on and every decision I'm involved in.
I believe in real investment in our communities, safer streets, and delivering tangible results rather than empty promises. I'm committed to holding the council to account on how your money is spent, pushing for better local services, and ensuring that the people of Preston East have a strong, independent voice on Lancashire County Council.
Whether it's scrutinising the county budget, challenging poor decisions on transport and infrastructure, or fighting for better health and adult services, I'm in this to make a real difference — not to climb a political ladder.
I'm always happy to hear from residents in Preston East or anyone who wants to get involved with Reform UK in Lancashire. Don't hesitate to reach out.
