But democracy is not theirs to reschedule when the polls look bleak. The people of Sussex are entitled to pass their verdict, and now they will.

This was a win in the courtroom, but the real victory belongs to the voters. They asked for a say. They were nearly denied it. And because Reform UK refused to let that stand, they will have it. Democracy delayed was democracy challenged, and democracy won.
